Personally Exotica Charcoal both the fingers and the silvers have worked best for me.  The fingers stay square throughout the whole time i smoke.  It last for about 45 minutes and works great.  There is no taste of charcoal and it takes about 4 minutes to cook.  I would recommend this charcoal to anyone especially if you are still using your Diamante Charcoal

So far I think it does great. Gives me 20 to 30 hours in my drums depending on the temps outside. And leaves me with enough ashes to fill a 32 oz cup, from about 12 to 14 lbs of coals.
