I dont think the LED is a good replacement for currently available effective artificial lighting for your plants. I dont think that technology had advanced enough with the LED to make them applicable as grow lights.
You could experiment on a very small scale to see if they give you beneficial results though. Great things can happen when exploring outside the box. Good luck!
